The Blueprint JD Editors leap tall buildings in a single bound, save the world at once a week, and, in their spare time, write for us. Read on to meet them and be on the lookout for their bylines.
Roxana Bell, Contributing Editor.
Roxana, an Indianapolis-based judicial law clerk, covers disability for Blueprint JD. Prior to entering the legal profession, Roxana taught high school chemistry and physics at Arlington High School in Indianapolis, and she continues to teach part-time as an SAT, MCAT, LSAT and GRE instructor for The Princeton Review. When away from the computer, Roxana is usually either chasing around her two-year-old niece or becoming lost in a good audiobook.
Sescily Coney, Contributing Editor.
Sescily Coney has been a blogger since 2009, having created her most recent blog in 2011. A second year law student at Howard University School of Law, Sescily enjoys writing, drawing, and singing. In the future, Sescily hopes to own her own magazine company and record label. She hopes that her candid approach to legal education and the life of a law student helps someone along the way. Her coverage area will be women’s rights, housing rights, and legal education for pre-law and law students.
Jameshia Durham, Editorial Intern.
Jameshia covers career guidance and the path the Law School for Blueprint JD. She is currently a full-time student, in her Senior year, at Howard University. She likes to scrapbook when she isn’t studying for class. She plans to attend Law School, focusing on Corporate Law, upon graduation in the Spring.
Ashley Johnson, Contributing Editor.
Ashley is a recent graduate of Saginaw Valley State University who enjoys writing about issues that effect people close to home. She enjoys reading a diverse variety of books as well as writing for fun. Ashley is currently employed part time at St. Matthew’s Lutheran church as the International Ministry Office Manager. She plans to find a full time position that uses her writing skills in the near future.
Courtney Weisman, Contributing Editor.
Courtney Weisman currently works for the US Government, working on one of the Administration’s education reform initiatives. She recently graduated from the University of Florida, where she specialized in civil rights and education policy, earning a degree in Political Science. Courtney is specifically interested in access and equity in higher education, and will pursue that interest at NYU Law next fall.
Erin Osterhaus. Contributing Editor.
Erin is our resident “expert” on issues relating to the law in the international non-profit/NGO setting. She spent the last two years in DC in the (successful) pursuit of an MA from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service, and is currently an Associate at Center for Civilians in Conflict, where she works on issues related to international humanitarian and human rights law. In her spare time she reads books, lots of books, writes articles on media and music, and occasionally goes for a run. In the future she dreams of becoming a full time writer and editor for an international affairs publication, while writing fiction on the weekends.
